Journal of Orthopedics & Joint Surgery
Volume 1 | Issue 1 | Year 2019

Tamil Nadu Orthopedic Association (TNOA) is one of the oldest Associations in our country started 69 years back. We have been also privileged to have published an official journal for many years as Tamilnadu Orthopaedic Journal. This Journal had a long journey with many attempts for making it an Indexed one. We have faced numerous hurdles in this process and not been able to complete the indexing. To overcome these hurdles, we have started this new journal for TNOA christened as “JOURNAL OF ORTHOPEDIC AND JOINT SURGERY”.

This would be an online journal with a web address of www.jojs.in. The articles are submitted online and reviewed by a strong Editorial and Review Board. The articles are double blinded and send to PEER committee for their reviews and comments. Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers would be our official publishers, who would also be managing our website. They are providing us an online platform with International standards and prerequisites for indexing. For the time being, our Journal would be online as well as in print format.

I am indebted to my team of Editors-in-Chief ‒ Dr A Saravanan and Dr. Thirunarayanan who made this dream into a reality.

Our TNOA is at a time in a Golden era proven by our victory in receiving IOA ‒ AK Gupta Trophy four times and OASIS ‒ Best State Chapter Award twice.

I request all our esteemed members to submit more manuscripts to our online Journal and add an another Golden Feather to our TNOA.

I am thankful and grateful to the core leadership and all members for exemplary contributions which made so many laudable achievements in my tenure as the secretary of TNOA. I wish this online Journal to take us to a new level of academic enlightment by getting the PISSN number and becoming an indexed journal very soon.

Dr A Francis Roy

Secretary

TNOA
